For the first I just have to write something in english. It was a long time ago I had time to write in english, but now I have fall holidays and I have lots of time, or some days anyway.. ;P
For the second I just want to have a reason to write in english, so I choose to write a little bit about Halloween.
Halloween is an american celebration.
Trick or Treat:
As with the history of Halloween, there are many different ways the act of trick or treating came about. One is from the 19th century costum called souling. This means Christians would walk from town to town on Halloween night, beeging for soul cakes. The soul cakes were actually square pieces of bread made with currants. The more soul cakes people received, the more prayers they had to say for the dead family members of the donors. During this time, people believed the dead remained in limbo for a while after death. They also thought that prayers, even by strangers could speed up a soul´s passage to heaven.
I'm to tired to write down the other story about how trick or treating, but I hope you enjoyed reading this text.
